New 2007 Choral Releases
I've finally gotten around to posting my latest choral pieces that have been published; you can check out the "Recent Releases" in the "Chorals" area. One is a fun and funky arrangement of "Standing on the Promises" and "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms," entitled, "Standing and Leaning Medley."
On the other end of the spectrum stylistically is an energetic, Christmas arrangement of the traditional French carol, "March of the Kings" with my original text. (It also quotes the chorus of "We Three Kings.") It's called, "Journey of the Kings." Both of these 2 pieces are published by Alfred Publishing.
My third piece to release this year is published by Fred Bock Music Company, and is a simple arrangement of a chorus I wrote a few years ago, "Hungry, I Come." (This arrangement also integrates the spiritual, "Let Us Break Bread Together.") It's a communion-themed anthem.
In other news...
I just finished up the manuscript for a piano book for Lorenz to release in 2008. It's different stylistically from my other collections (see "Piano" link for more info). All of the arrangements of traditional hymns are meditative and mellow, and for the most part, without the jazz harmonies of my other books. We're still working on a title... I'll keep you posted!
