New Piano Book Released
If you're a church pianist or know one, have I got some news for YOU!!
I contributed several original pieces to a new piano book that recently released with Word Music, called "Transitions, etc." With the subtitle: "Original keyboard bridges for worship that flows," this is a collection of entirely original music to be used for interludes and transitions (e.g., while you're waiting for the scripture reader to come to the front or some other TRANSITION in worship). It also has modulations to every key (and not just the same modulation 12 times!) You can read about it in detail here.
On a side note, I am especially excited about this project because it was my first time to appear in the Word Music catalog. And not only that, the other arrangers are all top notch, so it was an honor to appear in the same folio with them. (And one is my buddy, David Hamilton, the first time we have "appeared" in the same project.)

"Blue Curry" now at iTunes!
I just got an email a couple days ago informing me that "Blue Curry" is now available for sale at itunes.com. I think this is way cool, because this is the most popular site for LEGALLY downloading music, and also the easiest to use.
For 99 cents a tune, you can download all kinds of stuff, and even the songs on "Blue Curry." (You'll have to do a search for "Craig Curry" to have it take you to the Blue Curry page...) Anyway, I'm happy about the opportunity for more people to possibly learn of my music.

Happy New Year!
I just wanted to take a few moments to say "Happy New Year!" We spent New Year's Eve at home, watching "Catch Me If You Can" on DVD, then caught a little of the Frank Sinatra documentary on PBS before heading to bed a little before midnight.
Not exactly glamorous, but that's our life right now. As it turned out, Cole was up at 1 and 2 a.m. with a fever, and Amy was paged at 3 a.m. as well, so she's a tired camper today. Our new year's day plans are equally unremarkable: clean up from Christmas stuff, work around the house.
I am planning on taking a short retreat tomorrow to think, pray, and plan the coming year. Amy and I had planned it as a getaway together, but I doubt that will happen with Cole's sickness.
