Thank you so much for your ministry to people through music. The words to this song, ‘Do Not I Love Thee’, have such a powerful message. May this be our prayer each and every day.

Do Not I Love Thee, O My Lord?

Thanks, Elsa, for your kind words! I appreciate hearing God uses my music in other people’s lives.

All of These

I love this song! In fact, a group of us sang it this morning at church, as well as for our camp meeting last week. It was a blessing to sing it, and I know many people were blessed by hearing it. God truly is great and He has given “all of these”!

Thank you for being a willing vessel for God to use in writing music that glorifies Him.

Product Description

A joyful and lilting Palm Sunday anthem in 6/8. Fairly simple to learn.

Lyrics

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!
Blessed, blessed, blessed is He!
Blessed, blessed, blessed is He!

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!
Blessed, blessed, blessed is He!
Blessed, blessed, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!

See Him on a donkey. Hear loud praises ring!
He comes riding as a King.
See palm branches waving, Hear the people sing,
"Hosanna to our King of Kings!"

(chorus)

Sing hoanna! Sing hosanna! Sing hosanna!
Blessed is He!

Supplemental Information

Year Published: 2003
Publisher Code: BG2415
Dedication: Nancy Rose
Background Info: This piece is dedicated to Nancy Rose, a public school music teacher who directed a children's choir for many years at my church. There are a lot of performance possibilities with the way this piece is written: you could use a two-part adult choir, a two-part children's choir, or split/combine the two parts between children and adult choirs. I've even heard this piece sung in Spanish by a men's prison choir in Nicaragua!
