Product Description

What would it sound like if Bach were to play "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" or if Handel wrote "Joy to the World"? (Oh.. wait... scratch that second example...he DID.) If you've ever wondered how the great composers may have interpreted Christmas carols, you'll enjoy playing these 10 carols arranged in a classical style. Great for recital and church use, if you are looking more for "Bach and Mozart" than "Brubeck and Monk," you'll find this a great holiday resource for your playing!

Testimonials

I recently purchased your Creative Hymn Variations and Christmas Themes and Variations and I love them!!! I hope you do more of this, as it is a great way for me to build classical skills while working on something to play at church. I am an intermediate level pianist in the classical realm, so I am really thankful to be able to combine classical style with hymns, as I just don't have the time to work on classical pieces and hymn arrangements separately.

I purchased this book late last year and have always been practicing most of it since then.  I love it.  It allows me to interpret each one using various techniques (whatever is appropriate).  They sound so good, feeling the traditional Christmas pieces yet with gorgeous classical touch.  I am looking forward to perform them in the coming Christmas season with my pleasant surprise.
